Rakesh Sahay is Head of Embedded Banking at M&T Bank, leading the development of the bank’s embedded finance strategy and capabilities. His current focus is enabling businesses to access banking products and services through the software platforms they already use, creating a more integrated and frictionless banking experience. Before joining M&T, Rakesh led Innovation and Strategy at Citizens Bank and helped build SimpliCapital, a fintech startup focused on improving cash management for small businesses. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at GE, where he helped drive strategic growth and business transformation initiatives.
